ID were recommended by Coretech to re-design Ian West's personal website.
The old site was not valid HTML, did not work properly with modern browsers and did not pass WAI Accessibility tests and was expensive to update. Ian wanted to be able to update his site without having to employ someone with web programming skills.
What we did
We needed to review the information architecture, search engine ranking and scope the maintenance requirements. For example, exactly what kind of content and frequency would the updates entail? After some discussion and "eye opening", we did this:
- Complete site redesign
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Provided a Content Management System (CMS)
- Provided a Blog integrated with the CMS
